Its 64mm flat burrs cover espresso and filter grinding, while a stepless collar lets you make small corrections as a bag of coffee ages. A fixed-speed motor keeps the controls simple: set the grind, weigh your dose and grind into the included cup.

What makes Gen 2.7 different

This listing is the Gen 2.7 configuration. The current design includes a revised internal chute, ion-generator probes around the grounds path and an updated convex anti-popcorn blocker. The supplied black dosing cup and silicone support wedge replace the silver cup and dosing collar shown in some older reviews. These are practical production changes; they do not turn the DF64 into a grinder that weighs or automatically meters your dose.

Choose a burr option for the coffee you brew

The selector offers Turin stainless-steel and Red Titanium burr options. Stainless steel is a useful starting point for a household making both espresso and brewed coffee. A coating is one part of a burr specification, not a guarantee of a particular flavor. Start with the coffee and drinks you enjoy, then consider a compatible aftermarket geometry if you want to change the balance of texture and separation. Optional SSP burrs ship separately from the installed set and require installation and alignment; they are not a factory-installed upgrade.

An espresso routine you can repeat

Keep dose and beverage yield consistent while adjusting the collar. If espresso runs too quickly at the same recipe, move a little finer; if it struggles to flow, move coarser. Record the setting for each coffee as a starting point, rather than expecting a dial number to work on every grinder. For filter brewing, move into the coarser range and judge drawdown and taste together. Allow for a small amount of coffee remaining in the grounds path after a large setting change.

Static control and cleaning

The plasma system helps reduce grounds clinging to the chute and cup. Its effectiveness changes with humidity, beans and cleanliness. Bellows help move remaining grounds out of the chamber, but low retention does not mean every dose will have identical input and output weight. Keep the chute and ion-generator probes clear using the published cleaning instructions. Unplug the grinder before opening it, and keep water out of the burr chamber and motor.

Will it fit your coffee bar?

Allow approximately 10 inches of counter depth and enough clearance above the bellows to add beans comfortably. The metal construction gives the grinder a substantial feel at about 15 pounds. This is a hands-on single-dose workflow: buyers who prefer to leave beans in a hopper and press a programmed dose button should also consider the GF64.

Turin DF64 Gen 2.7 Single-Dose Coffee Grinder specifications

Specifications and practical details

Burr platform

64mm flat burrs; selected stainless-steel or Red Titanium option

Adjustment

Stepless

Motor

250W AC; fixed speed

Electrical version

110–120V U.S. model

Capacity

Approximately 50g with bellows

Static control

Plasma ion generator

Automatic stop

45 seconds

Dimensions

Approximately 10 in D × 5.2 in W × 12 in H

Weight

Approximately 15 lb

Warranty

One year; applicable store terms and exclusions apply

What is included

Grinder with the selected Turin burrs installed, bellows and lid, black dosing cup, silicone cup-support wedge, metal grind indicator and cleaning brush. That makes it useful when one person drinks regular coffee and another drinks decaf, or when you alternate between roasts. A scale helps you keep track of both the beans going in and the grounds coming out.

For home espresso: The stepless collar lets you adjust between marked positions. Their espresso-oriented cutting geometry supports the fine grinding needed to dial in shots. This is our starting recommendation when you want one DF54 for both espresso and everyday brewed coffee.

Red Titanium Espresso: a coated espresso option

This is the coated espresso burr choice. It keeps the focus on espresso rather than turning the DF54 into a dedicated filter grinder. Choose it if you prefer a coated burr set; the coating alone does not guarantee better flavor. Your beans, recipe, and grind adjustment still determine the result.

Stainless Steel Brew: for a filter-focused setup

Choose brew burrs when pour-over or drip coffee is the main job. Their geometry is intended to emphasize clarity and separation of flavors in brewed coffee. They are not our recommendation for a grinder that needs to serve as your primary espresso grinder.

For a household that regularly makes both espresso and filter, begin with an espresso set. For a separate filter station alongside an existing espresso grinder, the brew set makes more sense. Burr diameter alone does not establish compatibility: replacement burrs must specifically fit the DF54.

What the v4.1 update changes

The current Turin DF54 v4.1 uses an updated metal declumper and a larger exit chute. These changes address the path grounds take out of the grinder. They do not change the 54mm burr size or eliminate the need to keep that path clean.

A plasma ion generator helps reduce static as coffee exits. The anti-popcorn feature helps limit beans bouncing above the burrs, while the bellows lets you push remaining grounds through the chute after grinding. Together, these features support a tidy single-dose routine; they do not promise zero mess or exactly zero retention with every coffee.

Static and retained grounds vary with humidity, roast, grind size, and maintenance. If output starts to slow or grounds begin sticking around the chute, check for buildup rather than assuming a finer setting is the solution.

Turin DF54 specifications

U.S. 100–120V model

Burr size and type

54mm flat burrs

Burr choices

Stainless Steel Espresso, Red Titanium Espresso, or Stainless Steel Brew; select an available option

Grind adjustment

Stepless collar adjustment

Motor

150W AC motor

Electrical supply

100–120V, 60Hz

Bean capacity

Approximately 20g without bellows; up to 50g with bellows

Dosing cup

58mm, transparent food-grade plastic

Static control

Plasma ion generator

v4.1 grounds path

Updated metal declumper and larger exit chute

Body

Powder-coated aluminum

Dimensions

Approximately 7 inches deep × 4.5 inches wide × 12 inches high

Weight

Approximately 10 lb

Intended use

Home coffee preparation

Warranty

One year of parts and labor coverage for manufacturing defects, subject to warranty terms

Included: DF54 grinder with your selected burrs installed, bellows with wooden lid, transparent dosing cup, dosing-cup/portafilter support, and power cord for the U.S. model.

Using the DF54 for your first espresso

Weigh your beans. Use a dose suited to your espresso basket. Its 40mm conical burrs are paired with a worm-drive adjustment mechanism: turning the small control moves the grind collar gradually, making tiny changes easy to manage. Weigh beans for each drink, grind into the cup and use the bellows to help clear the grounds path.

Fine control for a dedicated espresso setup

The SK40 has no fixed clicks between grind settings. That matters when a shot needs a small change rather than a full step finer or coarser. The same geared adjustment that makes fine tuning convenient also makes large moves slower. It is particularly practical when you mainly make espresso from one or two coffees; it takes more turning if you alternate between espresso and French press throughout the day.

Conical burrs and a straightforward routine

The eight-point stainless-steel conical burr set is driven by a 150W motor. The grinder runs at approximately 400 RPM under load; the higher no-load figure is not a selectable speed. Start with a weighed dose, keep the basket and espresso yield consistent and use taste alongside shot time. There is no reliable universal dial number for every SK40, roast level or basket.

Managing grounds and changing coffees

The tilted body and bellows are designed to reduce coffee left inside. Use the included cup to transfer grounds into your basket or brewer, and check output weight while learning the grinder. A small amount of carryover can still occur, especially after changing grind size or moving between oily and lighter-roasted coffees. Low retention is a design goal, not a fixed promise of a particular fraction of a gram.

Care without unnecessary rituals

Brush away loose grounds and inspect the chute when output or static behavior changes. Unplug before disassembly and follow the setup instructions for adjustment and cleaning. Keep the burr chamber dry. Coffee traces in a new unit can come from factory testing; they do not by themselves show that the grinder has been used by a customer. There is no requirement to waste a fixed number of kilograms of beans before you can enjoy the grinder.

Space and brew-method tradeoffs

The narrow aluminum body works well beside a compact espresso machine. Allow up to approximately 14 inches of height for the assembled hopper arrangement and leave access above it. Its range also covers brewed coffee, but a grinder with faster large-setting changes may suit a household that changes brew methods for every drink.

Turin SK40 Stepless Single-Dose Coffee Grinder specifications

Specifications and practical details

Burrs

40mm eight-point stainless-steel conical

Adjustment

Stepless worm drive

Motor

150W

Speed

Approximately 400 RPM grinding; 650 RPM unloaded

Capacity

Approximately 40g

Body and base

Aluminum

Electrical

110–120V, 60Hz U.S. model

Footprint

Approximately 6.75 in D × 3.75 in W

Height

Approximately 12.5 in without bellows; allow about 14 in for hopper setup

Weight

Approximately 5.75 lb

What is included

SK40 grinder, wood lid, metal hopper, rubber bellows and stainless-steel dosing cup. It brings the fixed-speed, 64mm flat-burr single-dose workflow to an international installation. Choose the stainless-steel or Red Titanium option in the selector, then weigh beans for each drink and use the stepless collar to dial in.

Confirm the electrical version first

This listing is for a 220V grinder with an EU plug, intended for non-U.S. international customers. A plug adapter does not convert voltage. Check the supply and plug requirements at the installation location before ordering. For U.S. mains power, use the separate 110–120V DF64 listing.

Current generation and burr choices

The current listing states that units ordered or received after July 2026 are Gen 2.7, including the convex anti-popcorn blocker. This replaces the older V2.4 reference in the former description. The available burr options are stainless steel and Red Titanium; older videos referring to DLC describe a different configuration. SSP burrs are not currently sold internationally through this listing.

A weighed-dose workflow

Load the beans you intend to brew, grind into the cup and compare input and output weight while establishing a routine. The plasma ion generator helps control static, and the bellows help move grounds out of the chamber. Low retention varies with coffee, humidity and cleanliness; it is not a guarantee of zero carryover. The automatic stop is a 45-second limit rather than a weighing system.

Maintenance and useful space

Leave room above the approximately 12-inch body to load beans and use the bellows. Keep the chute and ion probes clean following the support guide. Unplug before accessing the burr chamber. When switching between espresso and filter settings, record your own starting points and allow for a small amount of coffee from the previous setting.

International delivery

Under the published international shipping policy, the buyer is responsible for applicable import duties, taxes and fees. Check the requirements for your destination before ordering. Tracking can take a week or more to update after it is provided, and customs processing can take weeks. Listed configuration: Version 3 with metal declumper.

The 220V Turin DF54 offers a compact flat-burr setup for international coffee stations. Its 54mm burrs and stepless adjustment support careful espresso dialing without the size of the DF64. This listing identifies the configuration as Version 3 with a metal declumper; it should not be assumed to match every later U.S. production update.

Check voltage, plug and version

This listing is for a 220V grinder with an EU plug, intended for non-U.S. international customers. A plug adapter does not convert voltage. Check the supply and plug requirements at the installation location before ordering. The U.S. DF54 listing is separate and may describe a different production revision. Use the version and selected burr option on this page for your order.

Choose the espresso burr option

The selector offers stainless-steel espresso burrs or Red Titanium espresso burrs in Black or White. The burr diameter is 54mm in both cases. A coating does not by itself guarantee a particular flavor; start with a consistent coffee dose and recipe, then make small grind changes. The stepless dial has reference markings, but there is no universal espresso number for every coffee.

Single dosing on a smaller counter

The inlet holds approximately 20g without the bellows, or around 50g with the bellows fitted. Weigh the beans for each drink and collect the grounds in the dosing cup. The metal adjustment indicator helps you record a setting when changing coffees or brew methods. Check the output weight when learning the grinder instead of relying on a fixed retention claim.

Keep the grounds path clear

The plasma system helps limit static, while the bellows help clear loose grounds after grinding. Keep the chute and ion-generator area clean, especially when dry conditions increase static. Follow the adjustment and cleaning instructions in the support guide, and unplug before opening the burr chamber. A clean exit path is part of normal ownership.

International delivery

Under the published international shipping policy, the buyer is responsible for applicable import duties, taxes and fees. It is a good match for a home barista who wants espresso-focused burrs and substantial grinding power without adding RPM adjustment to the routine. The polished collar provides stepless control, and the included black cup collects a weighed dose for espresso or brewed coffee.

Current burrs and carrier design

The standard package includes Turin Red Titanium-coated 83mm espresso burrs. Four guide posts and four springs support the upper carrier in the redesigned Gen 2 body. This is a different model from the variable-speed DF83V, and its current exterior should not be confused with older DF83 V2 reviews. If you order optional SSP burrs, they arrive separately from the installed factory set and need installation and alignment.

Fixed speed keeps the workflow focused

The 550W motor operates at a published fixed 1,400 RPM. You control extraction primarily through grind size, coffee dose and brew recipe. A large burr diameter gives you a different platform and throughput potential, but it does not guarantee a better cup than a smaller grinder. Coffee choice, burr geometry and preparation still matter.

Using it for espresso and filter

The stock set is espresso-focused, making this a practical choice for shots and milk drinks. The adjustment range also extends to coarser filter and immersion brewing. If filter coffee becomes your main priority, compare compatible brew-focused burr options before buying an upgrade. Start with the stock set long enough to understand what you want to change in the cup.

Single dosing, static and cleanup

Weigh the beans before grinding. The anti-popcorn collar helps manage bean entry into the running grinder, and the bellows help clear the remaining grounds. It provides 100 indexed grind settings, two programmable dose times and a manual mode. That makes it a different proposition from the stepless, bellows-based DF grinders: it favors a straightforward daily routine with the same coffee.

Understand the 100-step adjustment

The adjustment combines 20 main positions with five smaller positions within each, for 100 indexed settings. These are defined steps, rather than a continuously variable stepless collar. Small changes help dial in espresso, while the wider range supports brewed coffee. If an espresso recipe falls between steps, dose and yield can also be adjusted within the limits of your basket and recipe.

Timed presets make repeat drinks simpler

Set two grinding times for the doses you use most often, or use manual operation for up to 60 seconds. Time-based dosing is not grind-by-weight. Establish each preset with a scale and recheck when changing beans, grind size or hopper level. The supplied metal dosing cup is another way to collect and transfer grounds instead of working directly over the basket.

Hopper use or occasional weighed doses

A hopper is convenient when several drinks use the same coffee. You can also weigh and add an individual dose, but the GF64 is not presented as a zero-retention single-dose system. Allow for coffee remaining in the chamber and chute, especially after changing beans or moving between espresso and filter settings. If frequent bean switching is your priority, compare the DF54 or DF64.

A compact build with practical controls

The housing uses a polymer body with a metal portafilter support. An ionizer helps reduce static around the grounds exit, while the 64mm stainless-steel flat burrs provide the grinding platform. Static control still depends on clean parts and ambient conditions. Use the manual’s maintenance procedure and unplug before accessing internal components.

Match the grinder to your coffee habits

The GF64 is most appealing when you want a compact grinder ready to dispense a familiar dose. It is less focused on experimenting with variable RPM or swapping coffees every shot. Measure the approximately 6.5-inch depth, four-inch width and 12.6-inch height, then allow working space for loading beans and removing the dosing cup.

Turin Creyke GF64 64mm Flat-Burr Coffee Grinder specifications

Specifications and practical details

Burrs

64mm stainless-steel flat burrs

Adjustment

100 indexed settings: 20 main × 5 smaller positions

Dosing

Two programmable timed presets; manual mode

Manual grinding

Up to 60 seconds

Static control

Ionizer

Construction

Polymer body; metal portafilter support

Cup

58mm black metal dosing cup

Dimensions

Approximately 6.5 in D × 4 in W × 12.6 in H

Warranty

One year; applicable store terms and exclusions apply

Compare your options

DF64 Gen 2.7 combines 64mm burrs with stepless single dosing. DF54 is a smaller flat-burr single-dose option. ZF83 offers a larger hopper-based platform.

Frequently asked questions

Is the adjustment stepless?

No. It has 100 indexed positions.
