Love this new machine
The legato is absolutely a phenomenal machine for the relatively low price tag and is 100% a gaggia killer as long as it holds up... I've been using it for a few shots a day for a month now and it blows away my modded gaggia on ease of use.
Only issue: no opv means it requires a bit more skill dialing it in and the first few shots were very over extracted due to skill issues. This is the only mod id even consider on this machine and likely will at some point but for now, is not necessary.
I really like my Turin Legato espresso machine. I upgraded from a Delonghi Dedica which I used for just over a year. I was considering buying a Breville Barista Express or Pro but I didn't like the included grinder (I already owned a Brevile Smart Grinder and felt that it was limited for precision grinding). It is important to have a good grinder with the Legato so you can get more predictable pressure when pulling shots. I replaced my Smart Grinder with the Turin DF 64 Gen 2 and that small change made a huge improvement with the quality of my espresso shots! If you're considering buying a Breville Barista series espresso machine, maybe reconsider. Take a look at getting the Legato with a DF64 Gen 2 grinder instead. It's a great combo!
I just received my Turin Legato , after the initial shipment got lost in transit. The people at Turin went way beyond the call of duty, shipping out a replacement as soon as it became apparent that the shipment had disappeared. I was warned by the UPS driver to”be careful, it’s heavy” as he passed the box to me, and it was. The machine is reassuringly sturdy, stainless steel with very little plastic beyond the water reservoir,(which is easy to access and refill). Everything seems to just work, without fanfare. Am still trying to dial myself into this, having had a single boiler machine with no PID before, where searching for temperature was an endless adventure. Looking forward to learning 21st century espresso

I am an Aussie living in the USA and missing decent espresso. I have been procrastinating for a while as to which machine to get. The Breville the Gaggia, the Breville is too flimsy and the Gaggia needs to many modifications then the Legato surfaced it looks the part it work great it's quiet but it does lack in the accessories compared to others. I like the Legato I think for home use it is perfect.
