Confirm That You Have Gen 1
The original DF64 and the DF64 Gen 2 use different component arrangements. DF64V, DF64E and DF64P are also separate platforms. Identify the complete model before comparing a switch, declumper or burr-area component; the DF64 name and 64mm burr size are not enough to establish a match.
Dosing and Exterior Components
Listings here include dosing accessories, anti-popcorn discs, compatible lids and adjustment-related items. Some lids or cups expressly fit more than one Turin model. Check the attachment method and product description rather than assuming every item pictured beside a DF64 belongs on your revision.
Switches, Declumpers and Burr Fasteners
The Gen 1 collection includes a model-specific power switch and silicone declumper membrane, along with shared burr-screw listings. Electrical connections and component placement must match your grinder. For a flow problem, inspect and clean the chute according to the maintenance guidance before deciding which part requires replacement.
Repair or Change the Burr Setup
For an aftermarket burr set, use the burr collection and confirm Gen 1 compatibility, installation and alignment requirements. A burr upgrade may change your recipe and settings; it is not a substitute for repairing a damaged carrier or blocked chute. Owners of later grinders should start in DF64 Gen 2 parts.
Can I use Gen 2 parts on a Gen 1 grinder?
Only when the individual listing explicitly confirms compatibility. Some accessories are shared, while switches, grounds-path parts and other assemblies can differ.
Can the old dial number be reused after service?
Treat it as a reference only. Follow the reassembly and grind-reference procedure, then dial in the coffee again rather than assuming the previous number gives the same spacing.

Excellent Grinder with Little Retention and Easy Workflow
I purchased my DF83V in July of 2025 (from Coffee Addicts). First of all, I LUVLUVLUV this grinder! I was coming from an Eureka Mignon Silenzio (55mm flat burr). That was very well made, and was reliable but it needed serious shimming, a Single Dosing Kit (from Etsy), and my Profitec portafilter never fit it properly. Even though the coffee it makes is better, the biggest improvement that I enjoy every morning I think is the change in workflow.
I tested the DF83V to find it didn't need any shimming, but I did have to wait more than 3 months to get past the break-in period. The grinder consistency is not the best during this break-in period. The 83mm burrs devour the beans quickly and the results are excellent. There is almost no retention to speak about.
I bought the silver model and found it was hard to read the white lines on the dial under the kitchen lights. I then purchased a black dial from Turin and replaced it - that's much better.
As with any variable speed grinder, you can jam the grinder with light roast (ie. "hard") beans if you run the rpm too low (< 400). My biggest issue has been that under 900 rpm I can't hear it running when not grinding and I have several times left it running all day. I now only use 1100 rpm - because I can hear that . LOL
The biggest operational issue to manage carefully is the rate at which you pour in the beans - if you are not consistent then you will not get consistent grinder results (it can vary a lot). Some people like to slow-feed. IMO this huge-burred grinder doesn't need slow-feed and I weigh my beans in a cup and then pour them in. I get great consistency.
The grinder is easy to disassemble without tools and clean - although I've not found it necessary.
I highly recommend this grinder. Just excellent.

Fue por DHL, tardo 1/2 semanas aprox. Paga IVA cuando entra siempre cuando valga menos de 400usd, si vale mas el excedente paga mas impuestos dentro de los 5 envíos por persona por año.

I'm in love with my new Turin DF64 Gen 2.7 Grinder
So far, I've had a great experience with this grinder. It's a huge improvement over my previous Oster BVSTBMH23 grinder: it's quieter, much faster, and has almost no retention after pressing the hopper bellows a few times. It's quite heavy, so you'll want to find a permanent spot for it. You'll want to make coffee more frequently anyway. :)

I love this grinder! It is fast, is easy to adjust the grind, and the bellows clear out the burns. It also looks great on my counter. I did watch a lot of videos because this is my first real grinder, but it is pretty intuitive. Highly recommend.

The H40 V2 hand grinder is fantastic. It is extremely well built and very precise. It punches well above its weight at the current price. It performed perfectly and help me dial in the grind on several different beans for my espresso machine. I do not use it every day, as I have a 64mm flat burr grinder as well. It is great for full bodied medium-dark roasts. Even when I am not using it to grind, the bottom piece functions perfect as a blind shaker. I grind directly into it, then place it on top of portafilter and distribute. It is very multipurpose! It would be awesome it they sold a magnetic lid for the bottom piece so it could be a true blind shaker.
