Coffee Grinder Burrs & Upgrades

Parts, burrs, and accessories for your coffee setup.

Choosing your equipment

Explore replacement and aftermarket coffee grinder burrs for compatible Turin models. Compare Turin and SSP options by the exact grinder they fit and the brewing style they are designed to support.

Choose a Burr Geometry for Your Coffee

A burr upgrade changes the cutting surfaces that process your coffee. Start with a clear goal: an espresso-focused setup, a separate filter grinder, or a different balance of texture and flavor separation. Read the individual set’s intended use rather than choosing only by coating or price.

This collection includes espresso, brew and multipurpose options, with Turin DLC-coated and SSP designs among the listings. Terms such as High Uniformity, Multi Purpose and Cast Lab Sweet identify different product families. They should not be treated as interchangeable names for one universal upgrade.

Confirm the Complete Fit

Match the set to your grinder model, generation and supported installation. A nominal 64mm or 83mm diameter is only the start: mounting, thickness, rotation and carrier clearance also matter. A burr listed for a DF64 platform should not be assumed to fit a DF54, DF83 or a different 64mm grinder.

Use the product’s compatibility statement and instructions. If the existing grinder has already been modified, include that information when confirming fit. Compare the appropriate DF64 Gen 2 parts, DF64V parts or DF83 parts collection when other components are needed.

Replacement and Upgrade Are Different Goals

A like-for-like replacement aims to restore the intended grinding setup. An aftermarket geometry is a change that may require a new recipe and different settings. A coating can affect surface properties, but it does not by itself establish the grind distribution or guarantee better flavor.

Before replacing burrs to solve an output problem, check the grinder’s cleaning guidance and inspect for buildup or an incorrectly assembled component. A new burr set will not automatically resolve a blocked chute or a damaged carrier.

Plan Installation and Dialing In

Unplug the grinder and follow the model-specific installation procedure. Check whether alignment, suitable fasteners or professional assistance are required. Do not assume an upgrade ships installed in a grinder unless the listing explicitly says so.

After installation, establish a safe grind reference using the instructions and dial in your coffee again. Keep dose and brew ratio consistent while comparing results. Explore flat-burr grinders if you are deciding between a burr change and a different platform.

Will any 64mm burr set fit a DF64?

No. Confirm the exact model, revision and compatibility stated by the burr supplier. Nominal diameter alone does not establish correct mounting or clearance.

Does a coated burr automatically taste better?

No. Geometry, alignment, coffee and brewing all affect the result. A coating is one specification and should not replace choosing the right cutting design for your needs.

Are upgrade burrs installed before shipment?

That depends on the product and selected configuration. Read the listing carefully; a separately purchased upgrade may require installation and alignment.
