Its brushless DC motor, stepless collar and removable magnetic chute give an espresso enthusiast several useful ways to refine the routine. Gen 3 and the installed burr set

The current configuration uses Turin Red Titanium 64mm flat espresso burrs, an updated motor, revised internal chamber and updated chute. Earlier DF64V reviews may show DLC burrs, an older motor or different cup design. Treat those as background on the platform; they do not override the Gen 3 specification here.

Experiment with speed methodically

The RPM control reaches up to 1,800, while the stepless dial changes the burr gap. Establish a repeatable dose and brew recipe before experimenting with speed. Change one variable at a time and recheck taste and flow. Lower RPM is not automatically better, and a speed change can also alter feeding behavior and grinding time.

Keep single dosing repeatable

Weigh the beans before loading, collect grounds in the cup and use the bellows when additional clearing is helpful. The ion generator helps reduce static, and the magnetic chute can be removed for inspection and dry cleaning. Retention depends on coffee and operating conditions. Unplug the grinder before accessing internal parts.
