The Turin CF64V gives you two separate ways to tune your grind: a stepless dial for particle size and an RPM control for burr speed. It is a 64mm flat-burr single-dose grinder for a home coffee bar where espresso and filter coffee both get attention. Its narrow body fits into a compact setup, while the pre-breaker auger, bellows and chute knocker make grounds handling part of the everyday workflow.

What variable speed changes

The motor can be set from 800 to 1,800 RPM. Changing speed can alter grinding time, bean feeding and how a particular burr set behaves. Treat RPM as a recipe variable rather than a shortcut to better coffee: first establish a dose, yield and grind setting you like, then compare speeds while keeping the other variables steady. There is no universal setting for every bean or brew method.

Controlled bean feeding and 64mm flat burrs

An auger moves beans toward the vertically arranged burrs and can break down larger beans before they enter the cutting area. The proportion pre-broken varies with bean size and shape. The installed stainless-steel burrs provide a practical starting point across espresso and brewed coffee. Compatible 64mm aftermarket burrs offer another route for experimentation, but fit and geometry should be checked for the specific set before purchase.

A cleaner single-dose routine

Weigh the beans, select your grind and speed, and use the included cup to collect the grounds. The anti-popcorn hopper helps manage the final beans entering the grinder. A plasma ion generator reduces static at the exit; the bellows and integrated knocker help release grounds that remain inside. Check output weight while learning the grinder. These features reduce carryover, but do not promise completely zero retention with every coffee.

Access and maintenance

The magnetic dial cover lifts away to expose the fasteners used for burr access. The included Allen key helps with the specified maintenance procedure. Disconnect power before opening the grinder, note component orientation and use dry cleaning methods. Coffee oils and compacted grounds can gradually change feeding and static behavior, so inspect the chute as well as the burr chamber.

Current finishes and countertop fit

Black units use a matching black adjustment dial; Grey and White units have a silver dial. Availability is specific to the selected finish. At approximately 4.33 inches wide, the CF64V uses little counter width, but its 12.48-inch depth still needs to be allowed for. Leave working space above the hopper and in front of the cup.

Frequently asked questions

Is speed adjustment the same as grind adjustment?

No. The grind dial changes burr spacing; RPM changes how quickly the motor turns. Keep track of both when comparing recipes.

Can the CF64V grind for espresso and pour-over?

Yes. The stepless range covers fine espresso and coarser brewed-coffee settings. Each method still needs its own recipe and dial-in.

Does the knocker replace cleaning?

No. It releases loose grounds during use. Periodic cleaning is still needed to remove oils and buildup.

Who benefits most from this model?

It suits a home barista who wants adjustable speed and a controlled-feed 64mm platform, and is willing to weigh individual doses.
