My first grinder. After owning it for two days and while trying to show it to my brother and demonstrate how it works, dringer got clogged up and jammed. Spout got packed with grounds. It got packed really packed on spout section. I thought jamming occurred because I had beans in hopper then I started the grinder so next time I poured beans while gringer running. I have the grinder between 20 to 10 settings and pouring 14 to 20 grams. Clogged up again. Every other time from then on it jamms. My luck I guess ...
I was traveling and planning to take the grinder with me. Bought a Baratza ESP and took it with me instead of DF54. Day 5 with Baratza and it works fine.
You can feel the power in this thing when you fire it up, but it’s quiet enough to not wake my wife for an early morning americano! Can’t recommend it enough!
This flat burr grinder is truly excellent, offering an extensive range of adjustments. It consistently produces fluffy and reliably repeatable doses. The amount of chaff generated is remarkably low, even without using the Ross Droplet Technique (RDT).
I can't tell you how much this grinder is incredible! It is so much quieter than the previous grinders that I have had. The weight of it feels so sturdy, it's going nowhere. All and all, this is a high quality top of the line own grinders that anybody can invest in!
