Turin DC63 Conical Burr Grinders
Precision grinders for your daily coffee ritual.
Choosing your equipment
Compare electrical versions of the Turin DC63, a single-dose coffee grinder built around 63mm conical burrs. Its stepless adjustment, automatic stop and accessible grounds chute suit a home coffee station where you weigh beans for each brew.
Choose the Correct Electrical Version
The standard DC63 listing and 220V EU-plug DC63 listing are separate purchase options. Select the version that matches the supply and plug requirements where you will use it. A travel plug adapter changes the connection shape; it does not convert the grinder’s operating voltage.
Check the exact product and option before ordering, including current availability. Product photos and similar names can look alike even when the electrical configurations differ.
63mm Conical Burrs and Stepless Adjustment
The DC63 pairs Red Titanium-coated conical burrs with a 190W brushed DC motor and a large stepless dial. Its adjustment range supports espresso and coarser brewing. Keep your dose and drink yield stable while dialing in, and record personal reference settings for the beans you use.
Burr coating and geometry describe different aspects of the set. Choose the grinder for its complete design and workflow rather than expecting a coating to guarantee a certain taste. The DC63 is a conical platform; the DF64 family uses flat burrs.
Automatic Stop and Grounds Handling
Load a measured dose and let the grinder complete its cycle. The automatic stop includes a brief clearing run after the beans finish, but does not weigh the grounds. Use a scale to check output when you change coffee or make a large grind adjustment.
The magnetic removable chute lets you inspect the exit path. A knocker and bellows help release remaining grounds, while the ionizer reduces static. Results vary with coffee, humidity and maintenance; these features should not be read as a promise of zero retention.
Countertop Fit and Alternatives
The body is approximately four inches wide and 6.5 inches deep, with a listed height around 12.6 inches. Allow additional room above the bellows for loading beans and in front for removing the cup. Unplug before maintenance and follow the DC63 manual’s instructions.
Compare the SK40 and other conical options for a different size and adjustment system, or explore variable-speed flat-burr models if selectable RPM is a priority.
Is DC63 the same as DF64?
No. DC63 uses 63mm conical burrs; DF64 uses 64mm flat burrs. The similar numbers do not make the platforms or replacement parts interchangeable.
Is the DC63 variable speed?
No. Its motor-speed setup is fixed. Stepless adjustment controls grind size, and automatic stop controls the end of the grinding cycle.
Do I need to use the bellows for every dose?
The design allows a bellows-free routine, but carryover varies. Check input and output with your coffee and use the bellows when additional clearing is helpful, following the operating instructions.
